Group Care

Heritage Family Services’ Group Care Programs provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children and youth across Central Alberta. Our community-based group care programs offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each person who enters our care.

We understand the importance of creating a healing environment where young people can thrive. We strive to empower each child to reach their full potential through consistent routines, personalized support, and a focus on cultural and familial connections.

Group Care

Heritage Family Services operates several community-based group care programs across communities in Central Alberta. Our group care programs are as diverse as the young people who become part of them.

Our dedicated program staff collaborates with clinicians to ensure we provide a therapeutic environment that supports our youth’s personal goals.

Operating around the clock, 365 days a year (366 on leap years), our teams create consistent, predictable routines that promote youth safety and a sense of belonging.

We prioritize fun, normalcy, and developmental growth while also nurturing cultural and familial connections in an individually focused manner.

Sibling Homes

At Heritage Family Services, we know how important it is for siblings to stay together, especially during challenging times.

Maintaining connections with their biological family is central to the well-being of children in care. That’s why our Sibling Homes program provides a caring and stable environment where siblings can grow side by side, surrounded by our team members who understand the importance of family and staying together.

Our sibling homes honour family ties and create a sense of stability and belonging.
