Gratitude Scavenger Hunt

One common thing you might hear therapists talk about (myself included!) is mindfulness. Mindfulness is noticing your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations as they happen now, in the moment!

Mindfulness allows us to be thoughtful, focused and responsive. One way we can be mindful is by noticing the things (and people, of course!) in our environment that make us smile—things we are grateful for!

To that end, I’ve recently found this “Gratitude Scavenger Hunt.” Whether you’re at home, out camping, or even in a place like a grocery store, we can participate in a gratitude scavenger hunt. The purpose is to look around and see the good around us. Even when things are hard—and sometimes things are hard. I hope we can find even small bits of comfort through the things that usually bring us happiness.
